Description
While getting food, clothing and medical supplies to the people of the former Yugoslavia is clearly of vital importance, the survivors of the war and, in particular, their children, need more than that. The "Bananas" team, touring refugee camps and other institutions in a distinctive red London bus, put on circus shows and teach circus skills to help the children to forget, at least for a little while, the war and the destruction that they have seen.

Remarks
Two tours have been carried out to date. The first tour, in 1993, was such a huge success that a second tour took place in 1994, visiting Bosnia as well as Croatia, and putting on shows in East Mostar.
