Dobra Kadabra Tour

Description

The Dobra Kadabra Tour consisted of a travelling circus-style show, employing experienced professional TSRT performers. The project visited social institutions for children, schools and young centres. The one-hour show included clowning, magic, juggling, music and puppetry all involving audience participation. When possible, each show was followed by a workshop, where staff and audience were taught and encouraged to utilise circus equipment and material donated by TSRT.

Location

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Mostar, Gonji Vakuf, Travnik, Zenica, Olovo, Tuzla, Gorazde.

Duration

7 weeks (from March, 24th to May, 12th)

Objectives

  • provide mental stimulation and comic relief
  • perform 60 shows with an average audience of 100 children and adults
  • donate circus equipment
  • run and develop creative workshops
  • encourage interaction amongst different groups of people

Specific requirements

  • 60 sets of jugging balls
  • 60 sets of paint and brushes

Cost

£12,382 (average cost of one show; £207)

Remarks

The circus tour will take part in a Drake session led by Benett Hogg (The Kuk Project) in mid-April, Sarajevo.
